(24/6) Semarang, Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Undip in collaboration with the Engineering Faculty, The University of Newcastle (UON) Australia held a Webinar “University of Newcastle and Diponegoro University Articulation details” as a continuation of the plan to sign the MoU Double Degree Program between International Undergraduates Chemical Engineering Program (IUP) with Chemical Engineering, UON.

Present from the UON Associate Professor Jamie Mackee as Associate Dean of the International Faculty of Engineering UON, Senior Lecturer Dr. Peter Ireland as Program Convenor Chemical Engineering and Ms Bhavana Chilaka as Senior Engagement Officer. Meanwhile, from the Faculty of Engineering, Vice Dean I, Dr. Siswo Sumardiono, Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Dr. Ing Suherman, Head of the S1 Study Program Dr. Nita Aryanti and Coordinator of the International Office of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Dessy Ariyanti.

This webinar was attended by around 55 Chemical Engineering students, both IUP and regular programs. The activity begins with an introduction from each university and then continues with an explanation of the double degree program including the curriculum, study time, scholarships and program admission requirements.

The discussion session was quite interactive, many students asked questions and expressed their interest in joining the double degree program. UON is very optimistic about the implementation of this program and if this program can be implemented in the Chemical Engineering IUP, it is possible to have further cooperation by cooperating with other IUPs in the Faculty of Engineering, namely Civil Engineering.
