Semarang, 20 November 2025 — Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), organized the seminar entitled “Sharing and Manuscript Clinic Adjunct Professor Program” on Thursday, 20 November 2025, from 14:00 to 18:00 WIB. The seminar was conducted in a hybrid format and took place at the Seminar Room, 4th Floor ICT Building, LPPM UNDIP.
The seminar featured Prof. Datuk Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Fauzi Ismail, B.Eng., M.Sc., Ph.D. from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) as the main speaker. Also present and actively participating were Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ir. Suherman, S.T., M.T., Chairman of LPPM UNDIP, and Prof. Ir. Tutuk Djoko Kusworo, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., a faculty member of Universitas Diponegoro who is actively involved in strengthening international research collaborations.
The seminar aimed to enhance the quality of scientific writing among UNDIP’s academic community, particularly to support publications in reputable international journals. During his presentation, Prof. Ahmad Fauzi Ismail shared his experience and practical strategies for preparing high-quality journal manuscripts, covering topic selection with strong novelty and impact, developing a coherent and compelling scientific narrative, and effectively responding to reviewers’ comments.
In addition to discussing technical aspects of journal writing, the seminar also highlighted the importance of international research collaboration (joint research) as a key factor in improving the quality and visibility of scientific publications. Prof. Ahmad Fauzi Ismail emphasized that cross-institutional and cross-country collaborations not only enrich research perspectives but also increase the likelihood of publication in high–impact factor journals and expand global academic networks.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ir. Suherman stated that manuscript clinic activities such as this seminar are highly strategic in supporting the enhancement of UNDIP’s research and publication performance, in line with the university’s goal of achieving World Class University status. He also reaffirmed LPPM UNDIP’s commitment to facilitating research collaboration, providing manuscript writing assistance, and strengthening international networking for lecturers and researchers.
The seminar was attended by lecturers and students of Universitas Diponegoro from undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs, who demonstrated strong enthusiasm throughout the discussion and manuscript clinic sessions. Participants actively engaged in discussions on challenges in international publication, strategies for selecting appropriate journals, and opportunities for future collaborative research.
Through the organization of the “Sharing and Manuscript Clinic Adjunct Professor Program” seminar, UNDIP expects to enhance the capacity of its academic community in producing high-quality scientific publications, expand international research collaboration, and further strengthen UNDIP’s role as a research university with global competitiveness.
