Faculty of Engineering – Undip students give their best work for the alma mater, one of which is shown by the “Bagaskara” team. The team consisting of Eko Wahyu Saputro (Department of Mechanical Engineering), Bayu Aji Pratama (Department of Chemical Engineering), Fariz Nur Amali (Department of Electrical Engineering) and 3 other students from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) participated in the XII International Warsaw Invention Show which was held at Warsaw University of Technology, Poland.
The event which took place 15-17 October 2018 is an annual international event with activities in the form of competitions and research exhibitions held by the Association of Polish Inventors and Rationalizers with 26 countries participating this year, including Indonesia.
Unmitigated, the Undip team managed to win 4 awards at once including Gold Medals from IWIS (International Warsaw Invention Show), Gold Medal from Global Exhibition (Saudi Arabia), Silver Medal from Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (Canada) and Trophy The Best Foreign Youth Invention.
The team who presented their work with the theme “Smart Blinds With Modular Solar Cell Doped Nanoparticles TiO2 and a Building Renewable Energy” has the aim of explaining and characterizing solar cells that have been doped with TiO2 Nanoparticles as an increase in solar cell efficiency and the amount of electric current generated from solar cells from a direct sunlight source, so that the electric current generated can be channeled into energy storage units such as power banks, batteries, and batteries.
