Semarang, 11 January 2024 – The Chemical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University succeeded in winning a number of awards at the Management Review Meeting held at the Dean of the Undip Faculty of Engineering on Thursday, 11 January 2024.

The brilliant achievements achieved by the Chemical Engineering Department are proof of high consistency and dedication in achieving optimal quality standards. The following are the achievements achieved by the Chemical Engineering Department in 2024:

1st Place: Department with the Best Performance Achievement

The Chemical Engineering Department received an award as 1st Place in the category of Department with Best Performance Achievement. These achievements include various aspects of research, teaching and community service which have made a positive contribution to the development of science and technology.

1st Place: Best Doctoral Program Criterion 9 AMI

Brilliant achievements were also achieved in the AMI Criterion 9 Best Doctoral Program category. The excellence of this doctoral program is reflected in the achievement of the Academic Performance, Research Productivity and Internationalization criteria, which makes it worthy of winning 1st place.

3rd Place: AMI Best Undergraduate Program

Apart from that, the Chemical Engineering Department won 3rd place in the AMI Best Undergraduate Program category. This achievement demonstrates the Department’s commitment to providing the best possible education to undergraduate students, engaging them in a supportive and motivating academic environment.

Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Suherman, ST, MT, as Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, expressed his pride in this achievement. “This achievement is the result of cooperation and dedication of the entire academic community of the Chemical Engineering Department. “Hopefully this achievement will not only be the peak, but also become the basis for continuing to improve the quality of education and research in the future,” he said.

He added that he hopes that this achievement can provide more motivation for all staff and students of the Chemical Engineering Department to continue to excel. “Together, we are building a positive image of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Diponegoro University in the eyes of the public,” added Prof. Suherman.

This Engineering Faculty Management Review Meeting is an important momentum to evaluate performance and determine future strategic direction. It is hoped that this achievement can be an inspiration for other departments to continue to strive to improve the quality of education and research in order to create a superior and competitive campus.
