The prestigious 2021 National Student Scientific Week (Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional / PIMNAS) competition by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) has been held on 26 – 29 October 2021. Diponegoro University has managed to get 4 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 5 bronze medals. This has further strengthened Undip’s position at 8th place, up 3 places compared to 2020.
The Department of Chemical Engineering students have succeeded in contributing by passing 11 groups from a total of 37 Undip groups that passed PIMNAS and won 4 gold medals and 2 bronze medals, consisting of a group chaired by Sadam Arrois (Supervisor: Prof. Aji Prasetyaningrum), Afriza Ni’ matus Saadah (Supervisor: Dr Ing. Silviana), Jessica Rahmaningrum (Supervisor: Dr Ing. Silviana), and Meitri Bella Puspa (Supervisor: Dr Ing. Silviana). This achievement cannot be separated from the hard work of the students and supervisors, as well as the extraordinary support from the Diponegoro University, the Faculty of Engineering, the Department of Chemical Engineering, and the Chemical Engineering Student Association (Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Kimia / HMTK).
In the future, the Department of Chemical Engineering will continue to be committed to always supporting the competition activities that are participated by the students, so that students can get the highest achievements. Furthermore, the Department hopes that the ideas and innovations from these students can be implemented for the community, while the outcomes of this competition can be published in national and international proceedings and journals or even be patented.
